If you want to use the ZF 5-speed behind an F250 that had a T-18 ot T-19 BW 4-speed (or a C6) then the simplest way is to use all the ZF 5-speed power train parts aft of the crankshaft flange, meaning use the 12-inch flywheel, clutch and pressure plate that is used with the ZF 5-speed (there are alternate ways but this is probably the easiest).ZF 6-speed manual transmissions are available standard on GM trucks with 6600 Duramax, and 8100 Vortec engines, and Ford trucks with 5.4L V8, 6.8L V10 and PowerStroke 6.0L engines.
