The VCM muzzlers and deletes that people use tricks the engine into thinking it's running a tick under full operating temp and thus, VCM usually wont engage.Got my VCM device today, installed no problem on my 2019, just a few mins. IMHO, most of the problems that people have with this transmission are due to torque converter clutch failure that can be blamed on Honda's VCM system. S-VCM installed, now having issues. We have a 2015 Pilot Ex-L. Had lots of issues with misfires, found out about the s-Vcm and installed it early December of 2023. Probably just o-ring, but for $35 I may just replace the o-ring and switch. Apparently, this is a known problem with Honda Pilots.
