For further clarification-Due to a specification change from Apple, CarPlay was no longer able to be used from the center console or rear USB ports on any vehicle with software application level IR22.5 or higher. 310 posts · Joined 2013. #4 · Mar 16, 2022. I had a 2019 and always had issues with both CarPlay and BT audio….it would disconnect and connect again several times in a matter of 5 minutes. I have/had various systems with Bluetooth connections for CarPlay. Each and everyone has/had issues using BT connections consistently. In my '21 JT I use a BT dongle to replace the wire which of course adds an additional device into the mix. The '24 may be better, but don't expect too much.
