Pierce height on 14 gauge should be double the cut height....cut height is .06 (1/16") so pierce will be .120 (1/8").

The Powermax45 was the replacement for the Powermax600....it has more power, cuts thicker and faster, has a higher duty cycle rating and the torch produces better cut quality on materials above 3/16", not to mention longer consumable life.I am looking for a settings chart for fine cut consumables for my PowerMax 600 hand torch used on a CNC table. Just got a used Powermax 600 and it's having some trouble switching from the pilot arc to the cutting arc. The pilot arc will fire every time. However, when I move into the material, it doesn't usually switch to the cutting arc. Sometimes the cutting arc will "blow out" mid-cut and switch back to the pilot.
