To shoot limited you kind of need 40 to really compete. For carry optics and production 9mm is king. So the odds that you find a single gun that can be shot in both is hard without doing a barrel swap of some kind and the number of guns where that is an option is really limited.The rules allow for an overall weight (gun + optic + empty magazine) of 45oz. Slide porting is allowed. That helps heavier guns like the Shadow 2 get into Carry Optics. If there is going to be a weight limit, one should be able to make their gun weigh that amount. 45oz is 45oz. You can trim weight off a stock 2 or 3, but can't add a frame weight to a Glock to get anywhere close to 45oz.
